So, I took the SAT first in November and got CR- 760, M - 720, and WR - 800. I took it again in March and got CR - 710, M - 770, WR - 740. So, my overall superscore went up (CR - 760, M - 770, WR - 800) to give me a great composite of 2330, whcih I am veyr happy about. However, does it matter if I went down in the other sections besides Math, especially when they went down by 50/60 points? Do I need to retake that I can score consistently in all three sections?

Consistency only becomes an issue when it's clear that you only focused on one or two sections. Since there are no 200 point descrepencies (no spellcheck on this computer :)), the only issue is your superscore, so the only reason to retake would be if you wanted a higher superscore than 2330.

yeah you should definitely retake...a 2330 isn't that great, most colleges require you to score at least a 2390 (be consistant: 800/800/800). so in other words, if you don't retake and score perfect i'm afraid your only option left would be a community college :/

you know, I've thought about porn, but I decided that my body is too awesome to share with just any horny person going to the local video store ;-P

Thanks Godfatherbob for answering my main question...I do acknowledge that I have a great superscore, I was just scared that my CR/W going down reflects poorly on my part.

And yes BigSib14, I am jumping with joy :-)

Most places i hear about take your 'best composite', 'superscore', or 'the testing that puts you in the best light' etc.... basically, yeah, they take the best from each section.
look up the policies from your favorite schools.

it's crazy that all of your scores changed like 40-60ish points........

I hope all my scores go up 60 points!! :) i'd be quite satisfied with a 2160
