Already Paid for SAT...Not Sure Want to Retake

Hey, so here's a "twist" I guess on a typical retake question thread.

Currently, I am signed up to take the SAT one more time in October. After talking about it with my counselor though, I don't think I need to retake. Right now, I have a very good superscore (770 M, 760 CR, and 800 W) for a 2330. At first, I was worried about my scores because on the second time I took the SAT, my scores decreased quite a bit in everything but Math.

First Time: 720 M, 760 CR, 800 WR: 1480/2280
Second time: 770 M, 710 CR, 740 WR: 1480/2220

I was originally worried this reflected poorly on my part, but it seems that with superscoring, it doesn't really matter. Also, my only other consideration was with scholarship money/opportunities - I thought that if I had the chance, maybe I should take it one more time just to REALLY get a "top score." In retrospect, I realize this thinking was out of place too (although some schools do have SAT thresholds/standards, I think I'm fine for most).

So...here's the deal: since I already signed up for the SAT, should I still take it? I don't think you can get refunded, and I already took all of my SAT II's that I needed and did well (Math II 780, Chem 790, Bio M 780). It feels like a waste of money if I don't, and I could prepare (I did until I talked to my counselor), but it also seems like a waste of a Saturday too.

Any input is appreciated!

I guess if you think you can increase your scores, then it wouldn't hurt.
But your score is already realllllly high so I think you're fine.

I do not think you need to retake it.

Since you already paid, just take it. Don't prepare if its gonna consume time. Remember to not send scores to colleges yet though. If you happen to do better on a section or 2, then all the better. If not then oh well.

You should definitely take it if you believe it will improve your score. Saying it is a waste of a Saturday shouldn't really effect this decision if you're willing to go on a forum JUST to post about it.

your score is already very high, I think there is no reason to retake.

i think this is the perfect time to retake. becuase you already have that nice safety net of 2330, you can take the test without any pressure, and you might improve your score by 10-20 points, in which case it would be worth it.
