Hey, so here's a "twist" I guess on a typical retake question thread.

Currently, I am signed up to take the SAT one more time in October. After talking about it with my counselor though, I don't think I need to retake. Right now, I have a very good superscore (770 M, 760 CR, and 800 W) for a 2330. At first, I was worried about my scores because on the second time I took the SAT, my scores decreased quite a bit in everything but Math.

First Time: 720 M, 760 CR, 800 WR: 1480/2280
Second time: 770 M, 710 CR, 740 WR: 1480/2220

I was originally worried this reflected poorly on my part, but it seems that with superscoring, it doesn't really matter. Also, my only other consideration was with scholarship money/opportunities - I thought that if I had the chance, maybe I should take it one more time just to REALLY get a "top score." In retrospect, I realize this thinking was out of place too (although some schools do have SAT thresholds/standards, I think I'm fine for most).

So...here's the deal: since I already signed up for the SAT, should I still take it? I don't think you can get refunded, and I already took all of my SAT II's that I needed and did well (Math II 780, Chem 790, Bio M 780). It feels like a waste of money if I don't, and I could prepare (I did until I talked to my counselor), but it also seems like a waste of a Saturday too.

Any input is appreciated!
