<p>For the independent research abstract, would it be acceptable to write about a class I took (and 15-page research paper I wrote) at Georgetown for a summer school program? I'm not sure whether it qualifies as "Independent Study" or not, and I'm not sure whether this would be a red flag for higher interest in Georgetown or something like that (I love GU and NU almost equally). </p>

<p>Also, I asked this on the College Essays forum too, but generally how long are Why ______? supplement essays? My Northwestern one is about 400 words. Too long?</p>

<p>Last Year on my application, I put my research paper that I did at Rose-Hulman over the summer. Rose also had them online - so I also included the link to the paper. I don’t think it can hurt at all.</p>
