Supplementary Materials

So I was suppose to send the supplementary materials by the deadline but this huge family thing came up so I couldn't. However, on the supplement, the supplementary material (science report) that I'm submitting is still checked. Should I send it off anyways with a note?

The FAQ says that supplementary material won't accepted after the deadline. Very vehemently if I remember. I would contact the admissions office and explain your situation, though. I'm sure they would understand if it was something unexpected and unavoidable like you seem to be suggesting.

Then again that's why we don't until deadlines to do things. So the unavoidable can be avoided

^ if I get into Yale, these are the kind of people I hope a) Don't get in or b) are to be ignored.

^

I doubt they have yet to receive all of the applications and supplements, so relax you are fine.

There are going to be people you don't like at a school, learn to adapt.

Learned a lesson?

Thanks for the reassurance, but I hate it when people just offer criticism without help.

You are right about that and I apologize. I have just seen a lot of these kinds of topics lately.

It's all good, Yale 2013!

If you didn't send it they might just see it as an errant check. They're pretty vehement about not wanting supplementary materials so it may just be in your best interest to forget about it unless it's really awesome (in which case you should probably e-mail your regional adcom).
