Surprisingly difficult elective classes? Surprisingly easy classes?

Did any of you end up with a surprise class this semester? Maybe an elective class that would normally be an easy A but instead is a nightmare? Or maybe you got lucky and ended up in an easy core class?

I'm taking an elective, "Introduction to Music Appreciation". It sounds like a simple class, it isn't just 'music appreciation' it's also an 'introduction' class. Should be a cakewalk.

I look it up on myedu, and it turns out that the class distribution is as follows:

A: 17%
B: 19%
C: 14%
D: 1%
F: 28%
Withdrew: 21%

Did anyone else end up with any surprises this semester? By the time I noticed there weren't any other electives available... UGH

Last fall I took Intro to Public Health. I should have gotten an A. Instead I got a B-… way too much rote memorization for me.

First semester I took Historical Survey 1 (Humanities). Easiest A i’ve ever made. You buy the notes from Target Copy and then the teacher goes over the notes in class and tells you what to highlight. Those are the lines you need to remember from the test. He told us at the beginning of the semester we didn’t need the book and the test questions all come Directly from our highlighted notes. I just reviewed my notes an hour before every test and got an A. I’m taking Historical Survey 2 this semester for another easy A.

linguistics is incredibly easy especially if you’re aware of things like that

Surprisingly, my History of the West After 1600 class turned out to be easier than I thought since I got a B in the course, which is better than what I earned in my history classes in high school (which was usually a C or D).
