Sweet Briar? VA/Classics/Mathematics? Any Info?

So I'm a super duper Latin freak. I was at Virginia's Latin Governor's School this year, president of the Latin club, etc. I have an impressive resume and have high hopes for my acceptance in any school I apply to. I do have an issue with money, though - free is preferable, my parents have 3 other kids to attend to and my older brother's college is eating up quite a bit of our funds. My resume/grades/etc give me hope that I'll get good merit aid, so I'm a bit wary of applying to schools without merit aid.

On the other hand, I'm also a math nerd, in AP Calc BC this junior year of high school, top math student. Therefore, I'd like to get a double major in classics and math - a good program in each would be appreciated, but I'm not at all sure what to expect. (I mean, just because the school isn't rated by MIT in the top math schools, doesn't mean it's bad, right?)

So right now I have a few schools listed for out of state: U. of Chicago is my number one, also considering Bryn Mawr, Duke and a few others.

But part of me wants to stay in state/nearby. But I don't know what to look for - my former Latin/Greek teachers are from places like Sweet Briar, Randolph Macon, Richmond, Mary Washington, UVA... Do any of these sound good for me? Is it possible for me to get a good enough ride, and do they have good math/classics programs? Any ideas for other schools that may interest me? In MD or NC?

Any that might be good 'safeties' that have decent programs in each? Perhaps I'd be best to compile a list of half a dozen or so schools in and out of state that meet my requirements - and just go with the one that is cheapest, no?
