swim test -- treading??

so just wondering what they'll make us do for the swim test...do we have to tread water? i can swim fine, but i can't tread though i've tried learning every summer...
and what are we supposed to wear? would a monokini be okay? bikini tops/bottoms fall off too easily if i'm swimming hard and i don't like one pieces...

They basically just have you jump in the pool, swim halfway down doing a front-stroke of sorts and then back doing a backwards stroke of your choice. It’s not very difficult and I don’t recall treading… but again, this was back in '05… (geez, am I that old?)

lalilalila–definitely do not stress over the swim test! You do not have to tread water and, if you don’t pass, or you do not feel like taking the test that day, all you have to do is take one quarter of swimming as a PE. In my entry (of 20 students), 4 did not know how to swim and it was not a big deal at all. They took the basic swim class together and loved it!

Also, if you have a religious reason why you need to take the swim test in private, you can do that as well. And a monokini (or one piece) is perfect!

You shouldn’t need to swim hard enough so that a bikini comes off.
