switch major before entering fall?

<p>Hello fellows!</p>

<p>I got into UCI for Fall 2009 as sociology major; however, i am looking forward to switch into the school of Biological sciences. Is it possible to switch to the majors in the school of biological sciences by the time i enter as freshman in fall? ... even if i may need to take precalc again in my freshman year</p>

<p>It’s probably easier to switch as soon as possible because at SPOP you will have a chance to change majors. I don’t remember specifics, but I do remember people from other majors who wanted to switch to bio sat in with the bio majors when they split us up into groups. At some point, the counselor made those people sign a list and talked to them or something. So yeah, it seems like SPOP would be the best time to switch.</p>
