I am entering the college in the fall, and I applied as a liberal arts major, but am now planning on majoring in a science, biology. Would it be helpful to me to notify georgetown of the switch now before school begins? And if so, how would I go about doing that? Thanks.

I am pretty sure you will enter the college technically undeclared. However, that might not be true. I know in the SFS we have to go through a formal declaration process, regardless of what we put on our applications. Try looking at the College website, or see if you can email your first-year dean about it when they send out the emails for pre-registration.

I'm an incoming freshman as well and I was able to switch from Linguistics to Spanish today without any problems. But it may have been so easy just because both are FLL majors.

I'm a sophomore and I'm still haven't told georgetown about my major. But if your going to be majoring in a science or a language, just make sure that you've signed up for a required course in your intended major field. Since the sciences and the language majors have more requirements, its nice to start them off freshman year. Your dean would either be Gamble, Cloke, or Chiarlanzo. Just email them.

Thanks! I emailed the dean and they were able to switch it for me and get me into the necessary classes (which was lucky since some were already full).
