Anyone have any advice for and College of Arts and Science acceptee who might want to major in Engineering but isn't sure?
-Can one switch schools within Boulder once one gets in?
-Is there any way to take some Engineering classes when in the College of A&S?
-What would be a good major within A&S that would allow an easy switch to Engineering, or that would allow for the student to get a taste of Engineering?
-Any other advice/useful info that might be helpful?

Anything would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

One can switch schools, expect to wait a year before getting admitted though. The engineering school wants basic math, physics, and chem requirements done.

You can take some CS courses without being admitted into the school (you can minor in CS without being admitted).

Look at this, it's info about intra-university transfers - http://engineering.colorado.edu/Advising_Guides/IUT.pdf

It doesn't really matter what A&S major you are, just take math 1300,2300 - general physics 1,2 - and the first two chem classes.

It explains it all pretty well on that link.
