Switching from CIT to CS and dbl Major in Business, Doable?

I only applied to CIT and I was accepted, I should have also applied to Cs and Tepper. Is it possible to switch to CS or Tepper and also do a double major, CS and Business? If so would I need to take summer courses to make up for the CIT courses for freshman year? Thanks.

It's doable to switch- see the 10 other threads about transferring to SCS or TSB. If you're undecided enough that you applied for a program you're no longer interested, and you'd like a dual degree, it's possible that CMU isn't the best choice for you because you do have to make a commitment to a certain major/school so early compared to at other universities.

No, I am still interested in engineering. But, I am leaning towards a synergy of computer engineering and computer science in addition to a business degree. I would like to have a double major in either engineering and business or computer science and business. Because both my parents are programmers and I have learned a lot from them, I am also interested in computer science. So, it should not be a big problem switching to computer science or business assuming that I maintain a respectable GPA? Thanks.

you know you could just apply for the 5 year MBA program junior year

Yea I thought about the 5 year MBA. However, say after i got my MBA and had worked 4 years and was competing with a person who just did 4 years undergrad and worked 2 years and then got an MBA, which person would companies generally choose based solely on the credentials and work exp? (I know there is more to it) Or is there not much difference.

2nd. How hard is it to get into the 5 year MBA program? 3.5 gpa requirement? Should I talk to my adviser about this as soon as I get to CMU? Thanks.
