I am transferring in as a Nutrition major but would like to switch into a Psychology major with a Bio emphasis. Has anyone made this transition or a transition similar to this where I’m switching from the Agriculture school to the Liberal Arts school? How hard is it to switch in terms of paperwork/wait-time. I have signed up for classes that align with the Psych major in hopes that this switch will happen.

The transition is easy. You just fill out a Major Change Petition form (you get this from the dean’s office), get the required signatures, and then turn it in. My former housemate (also my former suitemate from when we lived in the dorms) changed from being a Biochemistry major to an Animal Science major, and while she got all the required signatures in one day, it took 3 days for the changes to be reflected in the system. The process is the same for transitioning to any of the colleges (except the College of Engineering…they have additional requirements).
