Switching schools senior year?!

So here’s the jist,

My GPA is really horrible ( 2.8…) due to not only acedemic stress from math ( the class that has brought me down for years) but also a major emotional stress wave.

I go to a very large public school ( overcrowded, even) that does have good courses ( AP seminar, AEGIS which is an honors creative writing course that preps for AP english exams, etc) and is known for their good sports curriculum.

My main ECs are:
Chior ( officer)
Band
LINK ( a service organization designed to help freshman)

Perhaps it’s because I’m kind of a loser who’d have no shot at being class president or section leader (my own chior directors always forget I’m an officer) or an athlete that I’m not happy here.

The potential schools i’m looking to go to are;

A small private school in the city, it isn’t prestigious but it’s better than many other private schools in my state.

A large public school, like mine except it’s actually built to hold lots of people and therefore things run smoother. They also end sooner ( which means I can take up more ECs outside of school) and have an amazing marching band. They also have a few courses my school doesn’t have that relates to my future major ( AP music theory)

However, I still need to retake some math courses through my current district and I’m also afraid of loosing the approtunities AP research and AEGIS would offer to me. Furthermore, I have no idea what the students are like and I don’t want to risk being just as unhappy and isolated ( or more so) than my current school.

To be honest, I would just stay at the school you are currently at. It’s only one more year, you’ve already made it through three.

True but I just don’t want things to get worse staying here.
