Syracuse Class of 2026 Admissions

Yes the change was in the financial section. This wait is literally painful. I just don’t see the purpose of adding so much stress I do anxiety on these kids especially after the last few years.

I agree- just want to know either way and move forward.

Wouldn’t it be nice if somebody from Admissions was actually reading these threads and decided that maybe they should send out more today hint hint

I just need one person to say rejected and financial aid portal did not update then I’ll feel slightly more at ease that there is still a chance

Daughter still waiting on email after having a great interview back in October 2021

Accepted to Tulane and University of Miami with same stats

Deferred Tulane, waiting and rejected Miami

Sorry to hear that, your daughter will end up where she belongs😊

does anyone know when rolling for Syracuse comes out? would it be in the same wave of RD? thanks!

This is in line with past years. I believe we can expect additional decisions to be released every Friday in March, although it seems this year SU released some on a Wednesday… I think we need to hold tight and wait. From looking at last year’s thread (2025), I don’t believe only acceptances come first.

Fwiw, there are a couple of polls on Zeemee. 46% said they have not received a decision. 40% received admission with scholarship offer, 13% received admission with no scholarship. 100% of those who got a decision received offers of admission, so thus far no one is reporting waitlist or rejections.

From their website:
The 1870 Scholarship is the highest recognition offered by the Office of Admissions. Named for the year in which the university was founded, prospective recipients are evaluated for academic and creative accomplishments, commitment in community service and demonstrated financial need. The award is offered to students in all colleges.

I think many people do not bother posting rejections. My son was waitlisted at another school yesterday and i was literally the only person that posted anything but an acceptance on the thread.

There are a lot of bigger schools that handle the process much better than this but perhaps SU has a reason behind its madness (that admissions doesn’t share w the public unfortunately). While this is my son’s last school to hear back from, I see there are other schools that haven’t released yet.

Parents and kids just have to hold on & wait to hear! It’s too bad bc it starts to bump up against the May 1 decision deadline and analyzing the offers & making comparisons, final decisions, etc. From this and last yr’s thread, it appears most merit money comes early though, which is a bummer. It’s really unclear. Don’t lose hope though!

So it looks like all were indeed accepted thus far….

If everybody who received an acceptance out of the ones who were notified and round about 50% were notified, that makes me really anxious.

Apply for a waiver

Yeah. I agree. Big chance of rejection in my opinion

Or worse waitlist

We received financial information as well as a family “admitted student” email to our gmail, but my daughter has not received any emails from SU nor the acceptance. She has Microsoft outlook and we checked every box it could be in-junk, spam, etc and nothing. Only thing I can think is outlook saw the large number of encrypted emails being sent and saw them as spam or potential trouble and didn’t let them even hit spam folders. It’s good to know she got in, but we have no idea of the program. I wish they would have the letter on myslice as the other schools do. If you have outlook, check out myslice financial aid section as you may have the same issue. She got $10,000 deans scholarship and the standard FAFSA $5,500 loan (not sure why they list this as a good thing), just wish we knew for what program.
