Syracuse Class of 2026 Admissions

Agree!

There is absolutely no reason to keep all this kids wondering!! Announcement said it began 3/16 and would be weekly well it’s been a week and they are all still left in limbo. And I pray I’m wrong but this strategy is even worse if it’s this delayed and the letters coming are waitlists or deferrals

I’d rather just know even if it is a waitlist or a rejection

Exactly. All her friends are making final decisions and she is in limbo. Tomorrow they get to wear college sweatshirts and she has to go in her school uniform. This really sucks

Daughter and I are incredibly frustrated with Syracuse admissions right. This is the only school she applied to that has rolling decisions even though all the applications were due on the same day.

Syracuse is her 3rd choice but it’s really a decision between Tulane and UMiami at this point.

This process is certainly making the school less favorable imo. Huge schools some more prestigious have sent all decisions at once

I agree that they should be more transparent about “when” and I don’t really understand the strategy or reasoning for multiple decision drops within a few days/weeks of each other. However, there are plenty of schools that still haven’t announced yet and have set dates now through April 1 so everyone can’t have already decided. Most of my son’s friends are still waiting for at least one or more decisions. Hang on and hopefully it will be good news!!

Your daughters school should not do that until April, what about kids who are waiting for Ivies on April 1?

And Syracuse’s process sucks.
Still waiting.

You can wear any school even if decisions not made yet but she doesn’t want to yet. They get to start to wear the sweatshirts tomorrow through end of year.

Looks like we have to wait until Friday :crying_cat_face:

Do you know if there are any acceptances the last friday of the month or are they all waitlists and rejections?

In the Syracuse Class of 2025-Regular Decision Thread, there is one student who finally received their Acceptance in April. So I would have to answer Yes

Did your son apply to the sport management program or sport analytics?

yea but way fewer acceptances in the last drop. a ton of waitlists tho!

So this next wave will be wave two is that likely to be far less acceptances? Still can wrap my head around not letting these kids know asap esp if it’s a no or waitlist so they can move on

I thought admissions said it was random. Are you we sure it’s not?

My son’s admissions counselor also told him it’s random and waves will
Include acceptances, rejections and waitlists and dates are tbd

I was told that there are three waves. Last week was the first wave, this week the second wave and next week the last wave. I was just wondering if we dont hear this week if my son will be rejected. I was also told that they are still in the process of making decisions.

We were told the same. That there are waves and apps still being reviewed.
