So I applied to Syracuse's Newhouse School, which is said to be more competitive than SU's other areas. I was just wondering how much more competitive it is, and if anyone else had any other information on the admissions system for this particular school (Newhouse).
Thanks.

Don't know about admissions but a friend's D is there and loves it.

Very ! not to be discouraging but it is very competitive. I would say that an avg. newhouse acceptee would be eligible for like Northwestern or U Chicago, Vanderbilt...schools like that. the Stats are really hihg. the GPA is usually around 3.7--3.8 and the SAT's for writing and critical reading are usually 700+

Ouch..

Well SAT's were a little under 700 for the writing and CR.. but my GPA was lower. I know that SAT/GPA is important, but do you know if they look at a lot of other aspects? (Recs/Interview/Essays etc)

yes they do! but im just giving the avg i've seen on the CC board. How about you visit the Syracuse U CC page and read old posts with stats on Newhouse..or just old posts about Newhouse in general. If u dig deep there are plenty stats for ppl who got into Newhouse last year.
