Hello all! Just got my acceptance letter today for Chemical Engineering with a $28k annual “Engineering and Computer Science Leadership Scholar Award.” I take all APs/Honors and my scores are below. My extracurriculars include a LOT of music stuff, GSA co-president, math team captain, etc. If it matters I’m Asian (Filipino) and male.
SAT I : 1580 composite, 800 math / 780 english / 17 essay
SAT II: Chemistry, 800; Math 2, 800
Weighted GPA: 4.42
Rank: 7/287 (top 3%)
I heard that we wouldn’t hear back on admissions decisions until late March also, I was super surprised to get the email earlier today.

GPA: 4.3 weighted (my school doesn’t do unweighted so I’m not sure about that)
Rank: top 11% (my school is pretty big)

that pretty much sums up my main extracurriculars and grades, in my opinion it is NOTHING impressive, so have hope!!! and good luck to everyone.

Awesome to all of you earning scholarships! It looks like they are upping the scholarships to coincide roughly with the Invest in Syracuse increase. That’s definitely helpful overall.
My daughter had a great interview but we never got to visit. We were going to but then my parents both got terribly sick so plans changed.I just hope they give her some financial aid because it’s really unaffordable otherwise
