My GPA will likely go up once I get this semester's grades. I'm on a upwards trend. I'm looking to get over 700 on Math & CR, so I'm going to study OD. And yeah.

My top three choices are NYU, USC, and Chapman. Am I being too cocky about making Syracuse as my safety?

If you are applying to Newhouse for Television/Radio/Film, then it's definitely not a safety. For the other colleges, I'd say you're probably in, but I don't know about calling it a safety. I don't really believe in "safety" schools; the admission process can be so unpredictable, sometimes.

"Am I being too cocky about making Syracuse as my safety?"

Newhouse is a safety for noone.....Of your list, BU is probably a match...

FYI: ED would definitely help........

Also, what EC's exhibit your interests? Crucial for your list.....

^ My Southeast Asian Club watches the cinema of the rising Southeast Asian film industry, my summer program at LMU is for TV & Film, and I forgot to include this but I got a job this summer for a local production company. :D

I'm not really that interested in SU. I don't like being stuck in the middle of nowhere for four years, you know? I'm doing ED for NYU. I never knew Newhouse was that competitive, now I know, lol. My real safety is, well CUNY Hunter.

Thanks for the responses! Are you guys in SU right now? How do you like it?

I'm at SU; I love it.

Really? Hows the social scene? Like off-campus wise?

Downtown's pretty much a bar/pub scene. If you're not of age, there are a lot nice restaurants to go to. I didn't have a car last year, so I wasn't able to do much exploring, but downtown is fun and nice. It's obviously not NYC, however.

Yeah, figured as much. That doesn't sound so bad though, must be really cold up there all the time haha
