does the early decision contract break if you didn’t get accepted into your #1 choice school?
I got deferred… But I am still positive I will get in:)
@sgambuti yes, the contract breaks if you get accepted to any school that isn’t your #1
When do we find out if we have received and financial aid or merit based scholarships.
Merit would have been in the acceptance letter. The financial aid package come about hour later but look in myslice it was there as well
So an admissions person just told me that they will be sending out notifications til mid January for those of us who haven’t heard back
Does anyone know anything about EDII decisions release date? or just that it’s Mid-January?
I guess we will have to wait until the new year. No notifications before they left for break.
my son got in 12/16 then rcvd grant award notification today 12/23. but nothing on merit. he got merit notices with 2 other schools at time of admission- so is he just out of luck at SU?
@2021ohmom merit comes with the decision… mine said it in the email
@2021ohmom the same thing with my son. If I may ask, what school did he get into
EDII Application and Test Scores aren’t due until January 1st… I know that EDI decisions were released December 15th so maybe we’ll be notified January 15th or around there?
Syracuse is my dream school… I applied to Syracuse University College of Arts and Sciences for pre-med under EDII. My stats are as follows:
My cumulative unweighted GPA is a 3.7/4.0. So far senior year I have all straight A’s. My ACT composite is a 27 and I scored a 31 and 30 on the English and Reading sections. I work full time as a Rehab Aide at a nursing home. I was an active member of Health Occupations Students of America and Gay Straight Alliance. My essay and recommendation letters are pretty good. Not only did I have a recommendation letter from my councilor and two teachers, but I also submitted a very strong recommendation letter from my coworker who has been in the medical field for over 30 years and she’s actually a professor at Mercy College as well. After applying to Fordham under Early Action, I was deferred to Regular Action… Since Fordham is definitely a bit more competitive than Syracuse, the deferral actually kind of boosted my confidence lol. Fingers crossed until mid-January!
