Here are the stats for attending? Which one should I attend? I am from Texas and majoring in Biology
Syracuse University:
~61k estimated total costs
~57k total aid:
~46k in grants
7.5k in loans
~3k in work study
~4k in out of pocket money (probably from parents)
GWU:
~66k entimated total costs
~58k total aid:
~51k grants and scholarships
7.5 k in loans
2,2k in owrk study
Rest of 8k from out of pocket money (from parents+outside scholarships)
Anyone?
I personally view GW as a superior school, plus it is ranked higher for bio. GW has a good reputation on the east coast and DC could be a cool area to live in
But is it worth the money? potentially GWU would require about 8k out of pocket money, while syracuse only 4k… not counting the loans…
Only you can decide which is worth it. What do you plan on studying? Do you want to live in a diverse, urban setting or a traditional campus with fields of grass? Do you want to be trudging through inches upon inches of snow in the winter or watching a diplomatic motorcade from the convenience of your dorm window?
So, if your only concern is the money then go Syracuse. But I don’t think $4k is enough to sway either way if one of the schools offers something you really want that the other doesn’t.
Okay yeah you’re right:) I’ve decided on GWU and submitting my deposit before the end of the week!
