I thought I had a chance with my average stats, but apparently not.
I know that this may be a dumb question, but are drexel, penn state, rutgers and rochester institute of technology better than syracuse? Just asking. It would make me happy if i got rejected since I got into these 4.
Many of the rejections start off as …Dear XXX, This year we received over XXX number of applications.
I’m stressing out for sure! Anyone hear back today???

wow @BostonSportsfan That is just like my daughter. She has a 1610. I still don;t understand all of the weight on the SAT. These schools are losing out on some really great and smart students.
Has anyone received an acceptance letter yet? I know some schools send out different types of decisions in different waves. I got a rejection letter from NYU at 1 AM, while my friend, who got accepted got his acceptance at around 3:00PM today. Is Syracuse known to do this?
That is exactly how I feel, In the beginning of this process I was confident until at this point I realized SAT’s are basically the most important… One test apparently defines us. I know it’s holistic but based off of the results i’ve gotten, it really doesn’t seem like that.
Denied… Had a 3.8 GPA and a 2000 non super-scored SAT and amazing EC’s. I don’t understand how Syracuse could deny my application if a significantly higher ranked school, The University of Miami, accepted me. If anyone could enlighten me to a potential reason as to why I was denied I would highly appreciate it.
I agree, the holistic bit is not sitting well with me.

Wow, that’s crazy! The applicant pool’s credentials apparently were really high this year… But still, I think you should have gotten in. @Zmayes
@nel626 has your daughter heard back yet ?
I havent heard anything yet. Dont mean to be racist but are all of those who got rejected white. Because i see you all got rejections even though you have amazing grades. Maybe, they are looking for a more diverse group. Sorry if that offends anyone.
@Austin96 wow you sound like a great student! I’m sure any school would be lucky to have you, Syracuse just couldn’t see that. So sorry
still nothing for me. looking at all of these stats is scaring me. I have a 3.7 non-weighted, 30 ACT, lots of volunteer hours, Varsity athletics, lots of involvement… but it’s kind of looking bleak if all of these other people didn’t make it. 
I really dislike seeing so many qualified students getting rejected. The reality is Syracuse does put a diverse group of students together for each class. Not only by race but also by grades, scores etc.

Just wondering…for those who got denied, did your myslice change? I just realized my spam emails don’t get saved, so I am wondering if I got a letter and never saw it. Myslice still says what it used to that the acceptance form is not available for your use.
In panic mode. So much waiting to do… Relieve me of this misery.
