Syracuse University Regular Decision 2021 (& 2022)

@collegeselect I was surprised I didn’t hear back. I guess way more people applied to arts and sciences and they are still looking at them.

@acron611 It seems like it. Hopefully next week. SU is a reach for my son. But we both love it. My son was deferred from ED to RD and SU requested his mid-year senior grades, which were sent on February 14. BTW, he got the letter for deferred decision on December 20, Wednesday.

Got in. School of Arch.
Don’t they automatically consider students for merit scholarship? It didn’t say anything about scholarship on my acceptance letter. Guess I didn’t get any

I was kind of worried cause I applied to arts&sciences but Syracuse is one of my safeties(3.8 gpa/34 act/2200 sat) and they gave me a fee waiver

Thank you!!! @Meismom @collegeselect

@Meismom… it said that my application is under review and that they can’t take further action on my application until they get the information about economic eligibility

Is there any way someone would be able to chance me for the College of Arts and Sciences? I’m just so nervous!
GPA(W): 3.77
Senior Courses: Honors Anatomy&Physiology, AP Spanish Language, AP English Literature, Honors Forensics(Syracuse SUPA Course), Honors Calculus
SAT Composite: 1230 / 1600
Extracurriculars: theater(leadership role), concert choir, acapella, rowing, cheerleading, camp counselor, part-time job, retreat leader
Recs: I haven’t read them :frowning:
Major I applied for: Biology

Thank you so much!!

Same, and I already know financially I wont qualify for HEOP… Does that mean I wont get in?

Got a decision but they’re asking me to submit more forms for heop. So basically don’t know where I stand. I already know I wont qualify financially for HEOP, does this mean I won’t get into Syracuse?

@ct2626 You stats look good. @Tatyyg99 Ii would depend if HEOP for low grade OR financial reasons or you have to have financial need. I don’t really know. Maybe call them and find out. Keep us posted!

Depends on your stats @tatyyg99. I think that if they are asking you for more files for HEOP then it’s a really good opportunity. Personally, I qualify for HEOP because of financial standing and would need more $$$ to attend. So, whether it’s your grades or your financial standing, it’s best to apply and see what they say. Plus, if you don’t send the files, getting into SU period would be very low or not possible.

Friday Next Week :(( …
I’m basically on par with the schools avg
GPA:3.5
ACT:26
And 6 AP Classes never scored below a 5
What I’m really hoping for is Grant Money

@ryguyee I’m hoping for grant money too!! Otherwise I’m probably going to end up at my strate school…which is definitely not my first choice
SAT: 1330 (superscore)
UWGPA: 3.85, W: 4.45
No APs though…

Five more days!! When you say it like that it doesn’t seem so bad ¯_(ツ)_/¯

@meganewarren you’re right but still :frowning:

@meganewarren is it coming out next friday for sure?

@acron611 I don’t know… I like to think so since the 10th is kinda close to mid-march but anything can happen.

@meganewarren if you look at past years they don’t finish until late march, which is what they say themselves. I highly doubt every applicant will know by next friday.

@CathJR I agree completely, and have looked at past years. There’s no way all of us will know by next Friday, but admissions said that they will start rolling out mid-march, so I’m hoping some of the arts and sciences kids on here will have news to share with the rest of us. If not, on to the next week.

I’m so nervous. My scores are on par, but not spectacular enough to completely rule out rejection. Hopefully my HS GPA/Recs & essay get me in.

27 act and 3.85 gpa w 4 APs… What do you think my chances are?

@alimarie your stats seem good but EC’s, recs, and essays matter as well. But I would say that based on your grades, yes!
