Syracuse University Regular Decision 2021 (& 2022)

@LaurynMV oh haha I’m so sorry I mixed up your question! I applied to the iSchool as I my first choice. I don’t think I remember the other schools.

@mikej99 lol that’s fine… on another thread, a current student was saying that the iSchool is less selective than Newhouse and Whitman which could be beneficial in your case. I’m not sure about the actual cut off gpa

@LaurynMV ok thanks for your help!

@mikej99 no problem! Good luck

Hope it comes tomorrow…

My daughter applied in October as a biology or pre-med major (can’t keep track of what she applied to what school). No decision yet. My understanding from the admissions office is that nothing is posted on the portal. Admissions decisions are sent through email. She’s accepted at Temple and Delaware. Waiting for Pitt and Syracuse. Did not get accepted to Penn State Main Campus. We’re from outside Philly.

And so we wait…

Anyone get an acceptance email yet? Are they batch sent for regular decision or do they come out in dribs and drabs.

@oldschool93 Seems like they are sent out in batches every Friday. Congrats your daughter getting into Temple, it is also one of my top schools along with Syracuse!

just posting a comment so that I can receive notifications about this thread

so do we think its today?

should we ask admission office to make sure whether it’s today or not?

@collegeisthebest Well, it’s hard to say

Who knows…I’m cautiously optimistic though!

I just called. The person I talked to said she hadn’t heard anything about admission results coming out today 8-|

Thank you for calling! I guess they define “mid-March” very literally!

@fourteenwords I wouldn’t say very literally. They started sending it decisions mid february and if you look at last year there were kids who didn’t get decisions until mid april. They just really have no regard.

so not today?

Do you all think the people who submitted their applications earlier will hear back before everyone else? I know they tend to release decisions in bunches and I didn’t submit my app until December 30th…so I’m hoping I don’t fall in the last wave.

We were in this boat last year. Submitted app early (before the ED deadline, but we did not apply ED). I think it was the first Friday in march we received the decision. I remember following the boards here and decisions then proceeded to continually roll out every Friday. Other kids in our neighborhood all heard on different Fridays.

Anyone hear anything?

@meganewarren I submitted my application for CAS/Maxwell mid-november and haven’t heard back yet but my BF applied mid-December for engineering and he got accepted on Feb. 24, (however he is by comparison a much more qualified applicant then myself). So to answer your question, the date in which you submitted your application doesn’t affect when you hear back.
