@JustStressed I got mine automatically, all their merit scholarships that I know of are automatic (no separate app or anything)

Admitted to Whitman with honors program with $25,000 merit scholarship. That was with a 30 ACT…but got a 33 on my February one. Anyone know if they do scholarship appeals? I’m dying here
are you automatically considered for scholarship when you apply? Or do you apply separately?
@RUHTRA999 in the information brochure we got at Orange Day, it says
‘When you apply for admission, you will automatically be considered for merit-based scholarships…’

@Kraw44 My son had a 31 ACT and 4.3 weighted GPA. He has many extracurricular and philanthropy activities.

@GMKoon ikr… Im suprised i havent heard back… Did you apply to the School of Arts and Sciences? I applied for a geology major. Maybe that schools releases at a later date? What do you think?
@acron611 I honestly have no idea. I did apply for the School of Arts and Sciences. Although it says I have completed my application, I have yet to send my mid-year report. (Relevant?)
@GmKoon hmm. Its probably the arts and sciences school since nobody on this thread who heard back applied to the arts and science.

@crazy43, Congrats to your daughter! I was hesitant to take my DD to visit/apply thinking they did not give any merit based scholarships. Glad to see I am wrong!!
