<p>I have asked before but no one really repied, so I am going to try again and ask about the Engineering Department at Syracuse University. It is any good at all?</p>
<p>well it’s not public so I’m assuming it’s expensive and the ranking is not high relative to other schools in the state</p>
<p>but ultimately I don’t know how good it is…because it could not be expensive if they give out a lot of scholarships, and it may be a well known school just ranked low because it’s small or something…</p>
<p>look into
-companies that recruit on campus, both quantity and quality (from their engineering careers services site)
-average starting salaries from the school for engineering (should be around 60k)
-job placement within 6 months (should be around 90%),
-look at the size of the program. 500 undergrad is small 5000 is big (I would say a lower ranked school that’s small is better than a lower ranked one that’s big)</p>
