<p>Just got into Syracuse off the waitlist and it was my top choice but I have grown to like Hofstra and its music merch program and proximity to NYC. Is it worth going to over Syracuse even though SU gave me more money? i really wanted the bandier program at SU but i wasn't confident enough to apply :( and Hofstra wants an audition...</p>
<p>Syracuse is a particularly great school. It would be more competitive to get into that program there, however. You have done the right thing with the wait list and one problem when you do that, is that it’s hard to let go of the school when you get attached to it.</p>
<p>My gut says S, but it is up to you, clearly and you need to think again why it was your top choice. The ONLY reason I would pick H over S is if I much preferred the environment, fee, atmosphere of H, all other factors equal. </p>
<p>Which school will cost you more and how much? Does the difference really impact your and your family’s finances? Another consideration.</p>
