Anyone with T-mobile service that can comment on coverage in State College area and campus? Thanks.

Not sure how service is now, but when my daughter started at psu 6 years ago tmobile service was terrible up there. Her calls were dropped about half of the time, so we ended up switching to verizon.

I went to visit there…no tmobile coverage and very very spotty close to nil Sprint coverage…I saw most students using at&t or verizon…So, if you are going to penn state and don’t want to pay much to those big networks, go with a MVNO like straight talk and buy a phone that uses straight talk or verizon towers…for verizon towers get the samsung galaxy proclaim from straight talk…for at&t i guess most of them do but ask the store representative…

My sons and I all have tmobile and don’t notice any serious problems – there are some buildings that have lousy service, period, but I think if the service was awful one of them certainly would have complained by now!

Thanks for the comments. Son already at PSU but as family were considering T-Mobile. Currently have Verizon so will probably stick with it.

Didn’t want to create a new thread since this thread is fairy new. Anyone know how is the Sprint coverage at State college ? Is it possible to at least call and text.I can live with no web. Sprint does roam on Verizon but I can’t be roaming on Verizon the whole time I am there.
