T-Mobile coverage on campus

I have an opportunity to renew our cell phone contract. T-Mobile seems to have the lowest pricing, but I don't want to switch if DD will have problems with reception on campus.

Any thoughts on pros/cons of service providers?

T-Mobile is horrible on East (Southgate) and even worse on West (Craven). My daughter had to literally hang out the window to get reception. We ended up switching to Verizon. Also, inquire about Verizon’s Duke discount.

Everybody complains so much about t-mobile, but it really isn’t that bad. I had good service in east campus buildings and around campus. There isn’t service in many of the academic buildings/the library, but you don’t really need to use your phone while you are in class/studying. T-mobile is bad in Craven (like ladyofthehouse said), But freshmen don’t really have to worry about that. Verizon does seem a decent amount better, but if it is a significant price difference, your daughter will be fine with t-mobile.

My S has T-Mobile and had absolutely no problems while staying on East campus during scholarship weekend.
