T-shirt

Recently, I saw a Smithie wearing a t-shirt I believe most will find amusing.

On the front is a picture of Nancy Reagan and Barbara Bush. Written below their respective picture, "Class of 1943" "Left to marry George"

The back is printed with a rather good picture of the WH and the pharse, "There must be a better way to get a Smithie in the White House"

hahaha… I def. need to get one of those when I arrive at Smith

On one of our earliest trips to Smith, we were in the college store, still located on Green Street, and there was a t-shirt that said, “Smith College: A Century of Women on Top.” One prospect was elbowing her mom, “Get it, Mom? Do you get it?” Sigh.

^I came from a stork. I don’t know what you’re implying about my parents, TD.

Was that you elbowing your Mom, SmithieGR?

Smithies love their T-shirts. The houses and even the departments design their own T-shirts, sometimes on a yearly basis.

Does anyone else find it peculiar that the conservative Smithie first ladies came from Smith and the liberal ones from Wellesley?

TD: Perhaps. No. Maybe. Well… I can actually see myself doing that, but that’s more of an ESL issue than a my-head-is-in-the-sand issue regarding my parents’ lives.

MWFN: I loved the bio dept’s cleavage tees this past year. Have you seen those?

No – I didn’t see the bio dept’s cleavage tees. Can you share within the Terms of Service?

The t-shirt is barely PG-13. In Europe it would rated G

The picture if of a cell splitting.

Thanks for the link! I like that one.

my favorite is “Smith College: a tradition of women in exciting positions”

There were a few of us who thought the picture should’ve been larger…the current positioning is a little awkward.
