Thoughts???

Source please.

here is the source from Ms. Sun’s blog:

Thanks ray50117, I forgot to add the link. Some additional info is also on the Ensuring transfer success website.

TAG to only one UC is an excellent change. Forces students to put more thought into their transfer applications than just spray-and-pray. Plus, fewer TAGs to process makes less work for admissions staff and quicker turnaround on everyone’s apps, in theory.

I also think the UCs made a good choice. This way the people who really want to get into a specific UCs through TAG will get in. This year people with TAGs got wait listed… I personally felt really guilty for having been offered a spot at all the UCs I TAGed (UCSC, UCSB, UCD, UCSD), none of which I’m going to go now, while someone else who might have desperately wanted to get into one of these UCs got wait listed.

Just got a presentation from the head of our transfer center. TAG to only 1 school has been confirmed on his end.

So we need a 3.0 by the end of summer now?

I guess the UC’s didn’t want to make a few changes, so they decided to throw everything at the 2012 transfers
