I was admitted to ucsd under tag. Thing is i couldn't get into one of the required courses because of the high amount of students at my cc and i will not be able to fullfill igetc by the end of spring.

Can i take the course in the summer?
Has there been a situation where a cc will certify you even with 1 missing course, on the notion that you will be finishing the course in the summer and passing it?
If not is there other options i can take?

Bump - I’m kinda panicing here so any advice is welcomed.

Ask UCSD this. All UCs handle issues like this differently and sometimes on a case-by-case basis.

I don’t know about your CC, but at the CC I go to (IVC), there’s an option for partial IGETC certification when you fill out the graduation evaluation form, and you circle which area(s) you won’t expect to be certified in. It also depend on whether you will be allowed to finish IGETC in summer–I know my college allows students to finish IGETC in summer, and even allows those finishing up IGETC in summer to graduate in spring. However, I have no idea if your college will also allow IGETC to be finished in the summer. You will have to find out from your college’s admissions office or counselor.

my cc does offer a partial igetc certification but it won’t be accepted under the tag agreement.

Hmm… CALL UCSD and ask if they’ll still admit you.
