i know that TAG/TAP will help me get admitted to a UC but how exactly do i do this? i couldnt find anything on my schools website about it. current CCC im going to is Chaffey college. ill be applying this fall for next year so is it to late or do i still have time? thanks

Talk to your academic counselor about it, I don’t know if Chaffey does the TAP program which is Honors courses… but it might have TAG. They can help you set it up.

Check out this link on the UC website - links you on to all the UCs that have various transfer programs/agreements. Good luck!

[University of California - Admissions](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/transfer/tr_info_ccc/tr_adm_prgms.html)

I Suggest you make an appointment with your academic counselor. He/she will tell you exactly what to do if your school has TAG/TAP program. You still have plenty of time to sign the TAG. I’m pretty sure you do the TAG in late August. Make sure you have 30 units, otherwise you will be ineligible.

thanks for the info. I ended up finding some stuff about TAG at my school. the requirements all seem really easy, so i was wondering how much does it actually help my chances of being accepted? ill be applying to a lot of the UC’s with a 3.4-3.5ish gpa as philosophy. So are my chances high if i complete the TAG requirements?

Indeed, the requirements are quite easy. TAG in general helps tremendously. It can only benefit you. Your guaranteed admission to every UC that you do a TAG for as long as you live up to the end of your bargain. The exception being of course UCLA and UCB.

TAG = Transfer Admission Guarantee. Soooo yeah. You are guaranteed transfer admission. You interpret that however you want on how much you think it will help.

yeah, it really seems worth it, i just found it kind of weird that its a guaranteed admission when the requirements are so easy.
