UCLA does not have TAG.

They look at your Transferable GPA, also known as the “Assist-Certified Courses”

If you go over 70 units, they will not be transferred over. In other words, you won’t be able to transfer those units to your university UNLESS they are prerequisites.

thank you but my main question is does tag have a unit limitation ?
can i sign up for tag if i have over 70 units

As long as you have never been to a 4-year, I’m pretty darn sure it doesn’t matter. At least I’ve never heard of a limit, but someone correct me if I’m wrong.

That’s a bit of a confusing way to phrase it because most people think of prerequistes as being major prerequisites. If you have over 70 semester units you get subject credit for ALL of your courses if they transfer as an equivalent at the UC. However, the most units you can start off with at a UC as a CC transfer is 105 quarter (70 semester) units. The key is that you get subject credit for all classes on ASSIST that have an equivalent at the UC whether or not they’re for major prerequisites. And that you can’t be given extra credit beyond 105 quarter (semester) units when you’re enroll. It has no effect on your application or admission decision.

There’s no such thing as having too many CC units for ANY of the UC requirements, including TAG. You will never be penalized for having too many CC units. 70 units only applies to how many units you can start with at a UC as mentioned above.
