Take AP History or summer school history courses?

Hello, I am currently taking APWH as a freshman in high school (doing well, currently have an A). However, I would like to incorporate more AP math and science courses in my 10th-12th grade schedules… I am not particularly interested in history and feel like taking AP History courses in 10th-12th grade would take up time I could be utilizing to advance my studies in math and science.

My school offers summer school courses in history, and I was thinking about completing the credits for history I need for graduation through these classes. However, all of these classes are non-AP/IB/Honors.

For instance, I am scheduled to take AP Calc AB and AP US History next year. Would it look okay if I replace APUSH with AP Stats, then take a summer school course in (college-prep) US History? Or would it not be a good idea?

Take APUSH.
AP Stats is not preferable compared to APUSH.

That is so, even if I were looking towards possibly applying as a STEM major? Would colleges still place more emphasis on AP History due to the difficulty/amount of work involved?

Thank you for your answer by the way!

AP Stats is oftentimes considered an AP “lite”.
Taking APISH would demonstrate more academic rigor.
Just make sure to take rigorous math and science courses as well. Preferably take at least one year each of chemistry, biology, and physics at an honors level.
