I graduated from high school as class of 2012 and am applying to college currently. I just finished my UC and Calstate apps and applied as freshman and awaiting for results. In the mean time, I have nothing to do and trying to get myself a job. I was wondering if I could apply to Mt.Sac 2013 winter quarter. I kind of want to get a couple credits in the several month that I am free. Since I already applied as a freshman to other places, can I still take classes at Mt.Sac and have those credits transfer over?

Sometimes this works. Sometimes it doesn’t. Go talk to the admissions people at MtSac and ask about their experience.

Read the definition of a UC transfer applicant:

Who is a transfer student?

I’d recommend you look at the CSU website too, a couple of credits may not be worth the having to withdraw your apps and apply as a transfer rather than a fr.
