I’ve heard that colleges don’t really like it when we take the SAT more than 2-3 times, but I’ve actually taken the SAT I 6 times. Will this make a very bad impression? Just to mention → I was scoring higher every time
And I’m also applying to 26 colleges (luckily, I’m already finished). Am I all right??@!

are you on crack...which colleges are you applying to?

and yes 6 times is alot, it might make a bad impression

Heh, that's kind of weird/paranoid. You should be fine and I assume you will be accepted by a majority of your colleges. Don't you think there is more to life than test scores though?

I'm justifiably stunned. Out of curiosity, what was your first SAT as compared to your last SAT.

Good Luck

Jerod

Well..I started taking the SATs when I was in 10th grade. But as years passed by I realized that I know more and more and became more and more confident that I will score higher. In fact, I have imrpoved my initial score with about 300 points and do not regret it. I'm just afraid that it will not make a very good impression to colleges.
I'm applying to 26 colleges, because I require a LOT financial aid and hope that at least one will be able to offer it to me.

Actually, there was an international student who applied to 40 colleges last year - I think that's the highest I've ever heard.

As for your question, you'll find out the answer in a few months. Some people say you shouldn't take the SAT more than 3 times, others say take it as many times as you want. Regarding the 26 applications, are you prepared to make a decision to attend ONE of them?

Omniscient --> my first SAT I was 1200, my last one is 1510;
Fireflyscout --> yes, I am --> UPenn and Georgetown above all!

WOW, 26 schools is crazy! I need fin aid too, so I'm applying to some state schools (less $) and some expensive schools, and some where I'll get merit aid. You'll definietly have a big choice to make come may. Good Luck.

your should of saved some of your sat test fees for money for college insted of taking it 6 times, inst it logical to take a test after you know everything, and not when you just know a little,

Justperfect, of course it is; however, I didn't know that I knew little when I was 10th grade...

I think it will make the adcoms wonder if you're too numbers driven. That's a lot more than anyone should take them.

Hey what schools did you apply to?
But jumping that much I find amazing...maybe I should try that bcuz right now im sitting at a 1320...

outburst, I wish you luck!!
I'm applying to 5 Ivy League Schools & all the rest are the colleges from the best business programs' ranking. I have simply skipped those ones that do not offer financial aid/scholarships to internationals

thanks you too, but I'm sure you'll get into most the schools you applied to, I have another q for you, Did you do 26 diff essays or did you use the same one twice?

I'm actually a junior right now, but I am also looking forward to the application process, which might sound crazy to some of you, but I was also wonder mirela, did it take you a loooooong time to do all of those apps?

Well, I started doing my applications in the summer and I just finished a couple of weeks ago. It was difficult only in the beginning, but later on I became an expert :) And, as a matter of fact, I wrote only 5 essays for all those colleges (after all, I'm applying for the same major - business, and college essays are not that different).

k cool, ya I'm also planning applying during the summer thanks for your help though, and good luck to you

lol you're psycho. 26 schools? 6 SATs? Someone has OCD.

Thank you, you're being very kind...

"I'm actually a junior right now, but I am also looking forward to the application process, which might sound crazy to some of you,"

Good. I consider it to be a very positive experience so far. I've never been forced to actually right about myself like I was with these applications, and that's never a bad thing. I know so much more about who I think I am, now. There was a stressful moment with an essay that I started hating a few days before a deadline, and there was one absolutely demoralizing incident involving a guidance counselor, and I'm sure the agony of defeat in April won't be nice, but it's still an overall great thing. Just do not let yourself worry about the decisions. There's absolutely nothing you can do about it after the application has been mailed. Don't even think about it, and you'll be fine.

exactly, mostly all the apps are the same, its not as hard as every1 cracks it up to be!
