Taking 4 SAT 2's = bad or good?

I've already taken Korean and I'm planning to take Bio, US, and Math 2C. I'm confident about US and Math 2C but in Bio I'm not. but im gonna be majoring in the medical field so i kinda have to take it. But if I take 4 will it show colleges that i'm overdoing it or will it look good?

Well, there are lots of ppl who took the SAT II's more than 4 subjects, and they had no problem getting admitted to the schools they desired.

Yeah... 4 subjects will look BEAUTIFUL to colleges...

not bad, not good. - unnecessary? yes

not necessarily.

i believe colleges will only look at your best 3, anyway. most colleges will select the 3 top scores from your 4 tests. it won't give you that much of an edge in admissions IMO

There's no real way to judge. If you feel that it's necessary; or if it serves to offset grades in a subject or something of that nature, then it might be a good idea to do more subject tests.

I think that's fine. I know some applications don't allow for you to put more than 4, such as the Stanford app (before they switched over to the common app). Three is really good, but four would be okay -- it's like having another teacher rec that isn't required.

I think its fine. I am taking 4 SAT II's, French, U.S. and world history, and biology. I think it can especially useful because it can justify a grade in a class.

3 is the perfect number. If you do well, 4 will absolutely not hurt.

I'm taking 5 and so did the people from my school who got into Harvard, Yale and MIT

"If you do well, 4 will absolutely not hurt"

If I'm looking at the good (really GOOD) colleges, what is the definiton of 'well' on a subject test? I got 770 Us Hist and predict scores around 800 Math Lvl 2, ~750 Chem, 780 Phys - Good or bad?

Anything above 700 is excellent. However, for certain programs will need higher scores. E.g. Engineering @ MIT you want to get (a lot) above 700. The mean score is very high for the MIT. I guess the best thing is to do really well on subject tests, especially if you plan to major in its respective subject.

Btw, the scores you listed, definitely look good and will make you competitive for top 20 USNEWS.
