Hey Guys
I’m a junior from Canada who’s interested in trying out for the US for undergraduate.
I’m part of a program that’s more science and math oriented, so at our school, there’s less interest in some humanities courses like history and such.
I feel like my courses lean too much towards the sciences, so I was wondering if I should switch into a World Issues course for senior year. Will it be helpful?
Thanks
Can you do that and continue in your current SSTEM program? If so, yes, you’d be expected to have a History class in 11th and/or 12h grade.

We’re allowed to take electives outside of our STEM program. If I take World Issues in the 2nd semester of grade 12, will it still count? Our school is semestered, and I’ll probably be taking it after January of next year.
Yes, it will, but it’s not much. (Competitive American students are expected to have 8 semesters of social studies/history between grade 9-12).
In the us I suppose you’d have what we call ‘block sxheduling’’.
