Taking AP Physics 1

I just wanted to see what people who took AP Physics 1 thought it was like. I plan on taking it next year as a sophomore. Some background: I’m currently taking Trig BC, AP Computer Science, and AP World this year as a freshman. If you took AP Physics 1, what did you think of the AP test? How much work was the class for you?
Thanks!

I took AP Physics 1 last year, the first year they had the exam. My teacher didn’t know what was on the test, so he just taught AP the same way he taught Honors. I think the difficulty of the class depends on the school and teacher you have. It’s algebra based, so it’s definitely manageable if you have Algebra II knowledge. The one thing I have to point out is that review books are not completely accurate since the test is so new.

The test was more conceptual, which was one of the changes that were made when the AP Physics B test was split in half to form AP Physics 1 and 2. You actually have to know how physics works and not just a few formulas and how to plug numbers in.
