taking cal 1 instead cal 2

when i went to preview i hadnt learned my ap scores yet, but i assumed that i had gotten at least a 3 on the cal 1 exam. in july i found out i got a 2. but i already signed up for cal 2 because the cal placement test said i could take cal 2. so should i take cal 1 instead or stick with cal 2?

also i know this may sound like a dumb question, but how do you access your online classes? is it on isis?

I believe that you cannot skip calc 1 unless you tested out of it w/ your AP exam score (or similar testing situation). You cannot take calc 2 w/o the pre-req credit of calc 1. Here’s the registrar’s page that shows which classes you get credit for:

so does that mean I have to wait til drop/add to change this? Is there a good chance a cal 1 class will be open?

yes, but you might have to wait for it. if not, you might have to not take a math this semester. have a backup ready.
