How difficult are the courses? is it ok to take it concurrently?

i think it is okay to take it concurrently based on what ppl from last year are saying. since the former covers micro topics and the latter macro, i don't see why one needs to take the former before taking latter.
Although somebody else can answer this a lot better than me, my guess is that those two courses definitely are not easy because they are two of the three core classes for an econ major.

2 of the 3 core courses? actually, 2 of the 5, with the 5 being 51, 55, 105, 110, 139.

anyway i think that it's fine to take them at the same time. i know several people that have done it and have done well.

oops i left those out two.. i was just thinking of "intermediate econ 1,2,3"
my bad hehe..

Everyone I know who has done this told me it wasn't that bad.

it is not that bad, although we had a bunch of problems with my econ 110 class (I took it with Burnside spring of 07, and he even admitted to next semester's class that last semester was bad)

Econ 105 focuses on microeconomics while 110 focuses on macroeconomics but you are using some of the same basic concepts.
