Taking notes: Pencil vs. Pen

I’m a girl. I use pens for most things because it’s easier to accidentally break your pencil lead than it is to break a pen. But if I know I’m going to be doing a lot of math or diagram drawings, then I’ll use pencil. I also exclusively do homework in 0.5 pt pencil, so it’s easier to keep neat.

Male, pens.

Female, pens. I use pencils almost exclusively for any written homework though.

Male, pens to take notes.

Since I’m a math major, I usually LaTeX my homework/papers. HW that is in the form of code is submitted online.

I use pen.
I’m male.

I write a lot faster using a pen since it “glides” unlike pencil. Pen is also easier to read for me.

It depends on the class. For Math pencil is the way to go because it often requires erasing. For everything else, Pen is better. No need to worry about lead/sharpening.

Here’s a quick addition, since I’m finding this thread interesting:
Those who use pencils, do you prefer mechanical or wooden pencils? Any eraser preferences?
I personally like mechanicals or leadholders if I have one with me and “plastic” erasers. Female, and I do a lot of math.

Female.

Pens, because I love the feel of writing with a pen-- so smooth. Also, no need to sharpen!

Besides, when I’m taking notes I usually don’t have time to erase anyway.

I generally used a pen. I never thought about it. If I had a pencil and not a pen I’d use a pencil.

@GoatGirl19
mechanical pencil, and i use one of those erasers that are in a tube thing that look like a pen or pencil
im a female and most of my classes are math/science/foreign language so lots of erasing lol
