<p>English/humanities more towards pens, perhaps</p>
<p>I remember once I had to write an essay saying that that pencils were better, only I wrote it with a pen</p>
<p>It depends on the person. I understand that math/science people will use pencil because it’s easily erasable, but I’m with the “English/humanities” group and I prefer using pencil when taking notes for the same reason. However, when I’m writing for exams in blue books, I use a pen.</p>
<p>I use pen regardless of math or humanities. I dont feel comfortable using pencil</p>
<p>In highschool it was mechanical pencils for everything besides in-class essays for English and History.</p>

<p>my fav. would probably be gel pens cuz they’re smooooooth.</p>

I like beef. But how is this thread providing any insight in the upcoming school year?
I doubt most people come here for opinion polls; they just want answers to important questions such as when school starts, what to bring, etc, but not questions like these.</p>

<p>you cant burn a pen for heat in a survival situation very well, but pencils work quite nicely</p>
<p>plus you can kill vampires with the pencil. And shish kabobing beef with a pencil is a snap</p>

<p>And I guess if you have lots of pencil lead handy you could potentially stop a nuclear meltdown</p>
