I was enrolled in three classes and had to drop one due to my work schedule. I have been trying to add but since I didn't show up for the first day the professors are reluctant to let me in. So currently I'm taking 2 classes which total 8 units. I have 55 units and with these classes I'll total 63 but I'm worried the schools I applied to will look down on the few units taken. I applied to ucla and uc Berkeley and have completed the prereqs. What do you guys think?

actually I’m taking 9 units which total 64 units

I dont think it matters if your full time unless you have tag.

Im not sure I understood. I have been full time my previous semesters but 9 units is not full time. I also have tag to ucsb and I know it won’t affect the tag decision. I’m just worried that ucla and Berkeley will look at 2 classes as not challenging even though I don’t need any other classes

If you’ve completed all of your pre-reqs and IGETC you should be fine. Their priority is that all your pre-reqs are completed so that you can start on your upper division coursework when you transfer. If there are any other lower division courses that articulate over that were not pre-requisites for admission that could’ve have taken, that may have helped you. Otherwise, you’re not going to penalized for having completed everything before spring.

ahh I see my reply doesn’t seem very good but what I meant to say was…
If you have tag then its important to be full time other wise without tag you should be fine with 9 units.

TAG has nothing to do with being full time. If you have the UC Math and English requirements, your pre-reqs, IGETC, and 60 semester units from a CCC completed all by the indicated deadlines you’re fine for TAG. The only thing TAG says about enrollment is that you have to have taken your last two semesters exclusively at a CCC. As long as you do that and meet the aforementioned requirements you can be full-time/part-time or even not taking courses (as long as you have a verifiable reason) in any combination for those semesters. So for example if you complete everything by Fall 2011 you wouldn’t have to take classes for Spring 2012 and you’re eligible for TAG as long as you don’t enroll anywhere else.

Thanks for the replies
