Taking out loans for summer classes

Hi everybody! Next summer I plan on taking two of my gen. eds. at a regional campus of another university in my area and plan on transferring the credits back to my home institution. All together I'll be spending about $1700 give or take with fees and all. I plan on taking out a loan to cover the cost so I can save up for the school year. My question is, since I'm going to be a guest at this school and am not eligible for financial aid because of this, am I able to take out am unspecified loan from the bank and use it to pay for summer tuition? I have no credit history, btw.

Since you are a student with no credit history, and no collateral, you will need a cosigner for a bank loan. Will your parents cosign a loan?

Do you have any remaining loan eligibility for the year - that is, did you use all of your annual eligibility at your current school? If you did not, you can borrow it before the year is over & use it to pay for your summer classes.

Can she do that for classes taken at another school? I thought FA is only for the school that you’re getting the degree at.

If the student has remaining loan eligibility at her current school she hasn’t used and tuition is already paid, she could get the refund from the loan and use it to pay out of pocket for the summer courses.

Keep in mind summer courses are often more expensive.at least in our state, where they are not subsidized like other public schools during the regular school year.
You maybe should look at community colleges, but before you register, clear it with your matriculated school.
