Taking road test soon-Anyone from NY can help me out?

I failed my first road test, unfortunately, but my second one is scheduled for April 14th. I'm in NY, so can anyone from NY (or anywhere, really) answer a few questions?

All Way Stop Signs-You stop once at the edge of the curb if there is no white line. You look around, and then creep up and then go, without double stopping. Is this correct?

Stop Signs (regular)-You stop before the stop sign unless there is a white line. You are allowed to double stop if your view is obstructed, and you do so by moving up to the edge of the street. Is this correct?

Do I tell my road test person if I am going to double stop?

Situation:

Let's say I am at an All Way Stop sign intersection. I'm there first, no question. There is another car down the road approaching the intersection, but I have enough room to clear a safe passage. Do I still have to wait until the car gets to its stop sign, and then it will yield the right of way to me?

Thanks for any help!

For your situation, it’s it’s a 4-way stop, you do not need to wait for the car down the road.

Any more tips? About regular stop signs-Do I tell them when I am going to creep up because my view is blocked?

i’m in new york and i failed my first road test too… try #2 is wednesday.

good luck!:)

Glad to see another NYer failed the first time.

Good luck to you too; I hope everything works out-for both of us!
