DMV Driving Written Test..

I'm applying for a Driving Written Test soon. I have a few questions though. It is all multiple choice and based on the driver's handbook right? How hard are the questions generally (I heard there were 40 something)?

Should I study a lot or should I just skim over the handbook one or two times? I planning to study only 1 full day (I have read half of it already a while ago) because I'm busy now and I'm taking it next week. Just wondering... because a lot of my friends have failed it because they missed one or two questions more than the minimum. o_0

what state do you live in?

The test is very easy if you read the Rules of the Road manual which should not take long. The thing is it might have some stupid pointless detail questions which is why skimming the Rules of the Road book is a good idea. Just a test of common sense.

I actually found the Rules of the Road test kinda challenging because they asked REALLY random questions like "At what distance (from the car coming in your direction) could you pass another car while it's raining on when another car is coming in your direction on a 2 lane street?

Well, the NY DMV tests are supposedly a joke...I'll find out next week for sure.

In NY, there's 20 questions and you need 12 right to pass. There's usually some practice questions on the website- do those and know the answers. They were the exact same questions on the test!!

my test (indiana) was extremely easy. I pretty much read the drivers manual a couple times and was fine. this was before ever driving a car.
I think it was like 25 questions and you could only miss 3.
I missed 2, one was because I over-analyzed a yield sign question.
they're mostly just common sense.

i think my test was 10-20 questions, i finished it in about 2 minutes and didn't get any wrong

on of the questions was:
"You are approaching an intersection, and you have a green light, but a pedestrian is crossing. You:
A. Stop and wait for them to cross
B. You have the right of way. GO
C. Honk at the pedestrian and go around them.
D. Swerve close to the pedestrian to teach them a lesson."

hopefully that helps

ahahahaha

^^^^omfg!!!! lmao. i wish my test was like tht!!!!

Yeah, the NY permit test is extremely easy. Many of the questions are literally on the NY DMV website; just memorize the answers and you'll be fine.

lol.

and I just failed a practice jersey one.

Have you checked nysroadtestform.com to see the evaluation form used by examiners during your road test. It’s free and you can print it out. Makes it easier to do well when you know what their looking for on your road test. It even lists points charged if you dont do something right. You can get maximum of 30 points and still pass, good luck!

The question example ProcasiNate provided pretty much mirrors how most of the Midwest structures its tests in my experience. 'Twas an easy 100% for most of my contemporaries and I.

I wish my state had such easy tests
