Taking SAT 4th Time to Qualify for Presidential Scholarship?

My dad was emailing one of his old bosses who is an admissions officer for Rutgers University. He told my dad that if I took the SAT's one more time and combined with my GPA and class rank, I would qualify for the Presidential Scholarship. I have a 2130 on my SAT's currently (700 Reading, 710 Math, 720 Writing) and he wants me to take it a fourth time this November to see if I can improve.

I wanted to first ask what is the presidential scholarship? Secondly, the admissions officer said I would have to get over a 2140 to qualify so is this true? I am also afraid that taking the test a 4th time would look bad and if I don't improve, it might also detriment my chances of getting into certain colleges. So does anyone have any opinion or information that can help me make my decision? I wasn't even considering applying to Rutgers until my dad told me about this scholarship. I don't want to take the SAT's again (the mental torture is enough the first 3 times) but if I can get a full ride, why not. Thanks!

You should take it a fourth time and get a 2400, so you can get a full ride to Harvard.

Any serious answers?

What part of my answer wasn’t serious enough for you?

Ok let me rephrase that, any realistic answers that actually pertain to the questions being asked?

Sorry Billy Bob

If you believe that your score can increase 100+ points, it’s worth it to retake. However, if something drastic hasn’t changed (e.g. study habits), then it’s a waste of time to retake.
