Taking SAT for the 3rd time - advisable?

<p>I'm currently in 12th. I gave it once in 11th grade, and once this October. My first time score was 2040, and the second one was 2000.</p>

<p>I was kind of overconfident both times - didn't study/practice a single test paper. I'm pretty sure I can do 2200 if I study this time - however is it advisable to take it again? Will it harm my chances further? If I do give it, it'll be in December since i'm giving my Subject Tests this November.</p>

<p>It won’t harm your chances. I really don’t see colleges rejecting or penalizing a student for taking the SAT 3 times. It’s not even that much.</p>

<p>Thanks, that’s a load off my mind, knew I had like 0.1% chance in the Ivies with my scores.</p>
