Taking SAT for the 4th time?

Hi guys, last year I took SAT 3 times. Didn't really study much, so I did quite bad for all of them. (1730, 2060, 1980) Now I am considering doing a gap year and take the test 1 last time. If I can get say 2300+ this time would it help with my application significantly? Tell me what you think, really appreciate it!!

Do you think you will actually score much higher? If so, take it a fourth time. But if you’re only going to score about the same (statistics say you probably will), don’t take it another time.

The problem is you did not study much before retake. A total waste of money, time, and your opportunity. What is your superscore? Why don’t you apply for any school this year?

Yeah I know… My superscore is 2110. I did apply this year and got into ucla, UCSD and usc. Want to try again for maybe Cornell next year. I have to serve my national service in my country anyway. So do you think it helps to take one more time Bill?

If you can get your score above a 2300, then I would definitely suggest retaking it

Then why do you want to take a gap year. Just enroll UCLA, USC, or UCSD and then transfer next year.

You’re going to take a gap year just to retake the SATs? You might not even get into Cornell… The schools you got into are great, but since it is past May- can you still accept their offer?

Coz I have to serve my national service before college. I can only enroll earliest in 2015. I already accepted usc but just want to apply again next year…

Ok thanks so much guys for your replies! I think I’ll retake once more.
